Lush Lovelife
Lush, a band that made an indelible mark on the music scene of the 90s, returns with their iconic album "Lovelife." Comprising the songwriting talents of Emma Anderson and Miki Berenyi, Lush played a pivotal role in defining various 90s music genres, from shoegaze and dream pop to Britpop. After a temporary hiatus in 1998, the band reunited in 2016, drawing a new, younger audience who discovered their music through platforms like TikTok and Spotify.
Produced by Pete Bartlett (known for his work with Therapy? and Kitchens of Distinction), "Lovelife" boasts three of Lush's biggest singles: "Single Girl," "Ladykillers," and "500 (Shake Baby Shake)." Jarvis Cocker, of Pulp fame, also lends his talent to the album, featuring on the closing track of the first half, "Ciao!"
The demand for Lush's music has remained high, prompting the band to embark on a journey to remaster their entire catalog. To achieve this, they enlisted the expertise of renowned engineer and producer Kevin Vanbergen. Kevin meticulously worked with the original ½” production tapes, crafting brand new, breathtaking 24-bit masters that capture the essence and excitement of the originals. The result? Lush's music has never sounded better
